ASTAPIO combines structured learning, interactive scenarios and evidence-based assessment. Learn to turn a request into a clear specification, explore its behaviour and judge whether delivery meets the intended outcome.
Learn the method by using it.
1. Find a starting point
Take the optional free skills check or explore a career track directly. The skills check gives an indication of development areas; it does not award a qualification.
2. Begin with AI provided
ASTAPIO provides the AI used in training. If you choose an eligible trial, explicitly start its shared 14-day period when ASTAPIO confirms service readiness.
3. Work through realistic scenarios
Ask questions, resolve assumptions, document requirements and build the diagrams that explain the system. Explore expected behaviour before implementation.
4. Review the evidence
Practise comparing outcomes, test results and review findings with the specification. Identify what is demonstrated and what remains uncertain.
5. Use feedback to improve
Revisit gaps, strengthen your reasoning and complete the practice needed to prepare for assessment.
Training takes place through browser-based learning, simulations and authored delivery-evidence scenarios. ASTAPIO is not a hosting service for your production applications.
Keep the intent connected to the evidence.
ASTAPIO teaches a specification-driven approach to AI-assisted engineering. Define what the system must do, record the decisions that shape it, model the important flows and simulate scenarios before implementation. Then evaluate delivery against that agreed definition.
Give requirements stable codes and connect their revisions to decisions, diagrams and verification evidence. Before releasing a specification, ask AI to audit the whole project using those references, request decisions on gaps, apply approved changes and verify closure. Practise selecting the right context throughout the learning journey.
Earn progress by demonstrating competence.
Professional progression runs through Levels 1-5 for each career track. Pass every required lesson at the level and obtain Tutor-confirmed readiness before Certification Assessment. Its pre-authored challenges vary scenarios from the lessons you were taught; they contain no teaching, hints or remediation. Eligible active paid access includes standard certification progression.
If the result is Not Yet Demonstrated
You receive feedback and a required remediation path outside the assessment. Complete it before another eligible stored assessment. There is no lifetime attempt cap. If suitable reviewed content is temporarily unavailable, we preserve progress, pause the affected assessment deadline and explain the recovery access available; standards are never lowered to avoid a hold.
Keep your practice current
Current Practice verification records the annual standard against which your skills were most recently verified. It is available to certified Level 1-5 learners with eligible access. Earning a professional level against the current annual standard also grants that Current Practice year.
When a new annual edition launches, the previous edition remains current for a 90-day transition. If you miss editions, a cumulative update path focuses on the gaps. If you do not renew verification, you keep your earned professional level and your record shows the last verified year.
Keep the credential you earned
An earned credential remains verifiable after your subscription ends, unless it is revoked on substantiated integrity grounds. You can share its verification link or QR code. Holding a subscription or completing a skills check does not itself award a credential.
Learn with AI provided by ASTAPIO.
Individual
ASTAPIO provides the AI for your exercises and specification practice. There is no separate AI account, API key or provider bill. Fair-use limits are disclosed before activation.
Organisation
Administrators manage accounts, seats and permissions. ASTAPIO operates the AI service, with separate learning allowances for each named learner.
Evaluation and service operation
The Tutor teaches and supports practice. An independent Assessor evaluates Certification Assessment responses against approved criteria. During assessment, you receive stored challenges and permitted facts without tutoring, hints or worked answers.
Progress you can keep
Your learning history and credentials remain tied to your account. A verified portable credential can satisfy the preceding-level requirement in another eligible account without transferring private employer work.
Learning FAQ
Do I need to connect AI before taking the skills check?
No. It uses authored questions and scoring without an AI connection. You see the result immediately without registering.
Is the AI used in training included?
Yes. ASTAPIO provides the AI used in eligible training and assessment within the disclosed service limits. Paid learning includes 200 delivered Tutor turns per learner per UTC day; trials include 50. Failed platform calls do not use that allowance, and assessment evaluation has separate capacity.
Will the AI write my qualification for me?
Your qualification depends on evidence of your competence under the assessment rules. AI assistance does not waive the standard or the requirements of an assessment.
Does a particular AI model guarantee a pass?
No. The credential represents demonstrated competence against the ASTAPIO standard, rather than ownership of a particular AI product.
Can I continue after reaching the highest level?
Yes. Continue developing through available learning material and eligible Current Practice updates. Your attained level and the annual verification record serve different purposes.
Are there age restrictions?
ASTAPIO accounts and training are for people aged 18 and over.
